GGN Working Groups

GGN Working Groups bring together geopark professionals and specialists from different regions to collaborate on shared scientific and practical interests. Nominated by the GGN Executive Board, they implement programmes and activities, exchange expertise and strengthen cooperation among member geoparks. Their work supports better management, conservation, education and sustainable development through workshops, joint projects, publications and practical guidance.

The working groups connect international priorities with the everyday work of geoparks. They provide opportunities to share experience, develop common approaches and address issues ranging from geological hazards and climate change to tourism, education and the relationship between landscapes and human well-being. Cooperation with corresponding regional working groups helps knowledge and ideas circulate across the network.
